History of the School

MADHYAMGRAM HIGH SCHOOL (H.S)

Establishment Year & Date: 2nd January, 1951

About the School:

While writing the history of the school, the first thing that comes to mind is the story of a few dedicated people who, uprooted by the curse of partition, came to Madhyamgram in West Bengal and built a small town. Madhyamgram High School was established in that town to light the light of education. The initial struggle was intense. The progress of that day began with a canopy of leaves. Gradually, that sprout turned into a mahiruha. Today, the fame of this school has spread beyond the district and state and across the country. Its fame has come from various fields such as studies, sports, quizzes, N.C.C. etc. Countless students of this school are now well-established in various professions in the state, country and abroad. Every year, many students of this school take advantage of opportunities in medicine, engineering and other fields. All in all, a tradition of success has been built. In the past, students from this school have secured places among the top twenty in both the board and parliament examinations several times. In 2017, Shriman Hrithik Biswas secured seventh place in the Higher Secondary Examination. The pass rate in both the examinations is above 99 percent every year. Grade ‘A’ has been given by the Higher Secondary Education Council. CC TV cameras and biometric attendance have been introduced in the school. Smart classes have been introduced regularly in the school.
